Our Beard Oil ingredients are sourced and made in New Zealand with the finest natural mixtures of oils. Being some of the best in the market right now, the Lejonjon Beard Oil is designed for the skin underneath the beard to help eliminate beard itch, eliminate ingrown hairs, soften, enhance, tame and look after the skin and facial hair to promote healthy stronger hair growth.

Our Beard oil works on the hair to soften and to strengthen the hair strands, this help to prevent splint ends and brittleness. A common "side effect" if you will of growing a beard, is the dead flaky skin under the beard hair, this is similar to dandruff and this is what the oil targets to eliminate.

The "bearddruff" as we like to call it is produced from an imbalance or lack of Sebum oil (The oil that naturally occurs in the skin). Beard Oil assists in balancing and adding the naturally produced oil so that it can reach to the ends of the hair where it can keep it healthy and glossy.

Generally the body struggles to produce enough sebum oil to nurture the whole beard, so this is where the beard oil shines! This works it's magic throughout the stubble to beard stage but is used to maintain a beard at its final stage. We recommend using Lejonjon beard oil and Lejonjon beard balm together for best results.

Our beard oil is lightweight and is purposely made to help condition and make shiny the beard hair. Our lightweight formula won't weigh down your beard or make it feel greasy.

Made in Christchurch, New Zealand

How To Use

We recommend using beard oil at least once per day eg. in the morning after showering. You can use the oil multiple times as required, but we generally recommend 1 - 3 times per day depending on skin/beard dryness and brittleness.

Beard oil should last 4 -6 hours, so you can use that as a rule of thumb or apply as you see fit to your lifestyle, beard and skin.

Allergies, Essential Oils and Carrier Oils

Nut oilsOur products are made with natural nut oils like sweet almond oil and jojoba oil. These nut oils are natural but should be avoided if you have a nut allergy and are aware of any reactions.

Fragrance Oils - Some of the fragrance oils are derived naturally and some are synthetic. Each product states if it has fragrance oils in it (see ingredients). The dilution of fragrance oil with our natural ingredients is generally 1 - 3%. Frangrance oils are generally considered safe and are used in a wide range of cosmetics.

Fragrance oils can cause allergens in some people, we have not had any reported cases of this occurring in any of our products. If you experience any symptoms like redness or itching, please stop using the product immediately and consult with your GP. If you have had previous problems with using things like colognes and store bought products, then fragrance oils may not be for you and you may want to stick with our essential oil range of beard oil.

Essential Oils - Essential oils are highly concentrated and should not be used without first diluting them in a carrier oil. We dilute all of our essential oils in carrier oils (jojoba or sweet almond) to help ensure they still produce a great scent, but are also diluted for use on the skin. There are many suggested health benefits from essential oils.

Bergamot, grapefruit, lemon and lime essential oils may react adversely on skin when in direct sunlight.

Please note beard oils are made with a custom fragrances (excluding Unscented), please test a small area for allergies before use.

Shipping on Lejonjon products is free to standard postcodes, or $4.00 to rural postcodes across NZ.

Reviewing as sniffer and cuddler of beard oil, not as owner of beard

Holy WOW this is delicious and delightful. We chose "leather pharoah" scent (I mean, what a name ...) and it could not be a more intoxicating fragrance. Honestly. I feel awkward when my husband wears it because I figure other people are going to climb on him, it is so yummy. Oh, and he said it does a good job of taming & conditioning unruly whiskers. Tino pai :)
